Taylor Brothers

General Terms & Conditions

Effective 1-1-26

  1. Special Order Materials: Customer understands that this contract is for SPECIAL ORDER materials. These materials CANNOT be cancelled, returned, or exchanged in most cases as they are “made to order.”

  2. Order Review: Customer acknowledges that they have reviewed this order carefully and understand and agree to ALL of the specifications in this order and any attached detail pages. Customer agrees to pay in full for all items built to the specifications in this order.

  3. Building Codes: Customer understands that it is their sole responsibility to verify that all of the details in this order are correct and will satisfy their local building code, homeowners association, or design review requirements. This includes, but is not limited to: Title 24, tempering, egress, fall prevention, fire zone requirements & HPOZ.

  4. Payment Terms: For C.O.D. accounts, a 50% deposit is due at the time the order is signed. The remaining balance is due on or before the final delivery date. For orders shipped directly from the manufacturer, final payment must be made at least 48 hours before delivery. Euroline, Jada, and Quantum have unique payment terms, and you will be provided an addendum terms page explaining the specific requirements for each of these brands.

  5. Payment Forms Accepted: We accept cash, check, ACH, debit cards, and all major credit cards. You will see two prices shown on each invoice: the credit card “all-in” pricing and the “cash” discounted pricing. Any payment made by check, ACH, debit card, or cash will be discounted by 1.75%. Once you click on the “Pay Now” link, you will have the option to choose how you want to pay.

  6. Order Cancellations & Returns: If you request to cancel your order, and the manufacturer agrees to the cancellation, the order may require a cancellation fee that includes the following costs: drawings, processing costs, and material scrap charges. These costs are non-refundable. Velux & some hardware brands may allow returns or exchanges with a restocking fee if all of their return conditions & timeline are met. Custom orders are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

  7. Product Lead-Times: Customer understands that ALL product lead-times are approximate and dependent upon our suppliers. There is NO guarantee of a specific delivery date. Customer waives any claim for incidental or consequential damages because of delays in the delivery of this order. We will do our best to keep you informed of any delays.

  8. Product Arrival & Storage: We will inform you once your order arrives. For orders that arrive at our warehouse, you must take delivery or will call for the products within 30 days of notification. Orders left in our warehouse for more than 30 days will be subject to a storage fee of 0.3% of the pre-tax subtotal each week, or $50, whichever is greater. Customer understands and agrees to pay these storage costs if the order is stored longer than 30 days. Customer also understands that “stored” orders will NOT be released until the final balance & storage fees are paid in full. We do NOT provide storage for orders that are delivered directly from the manufacturer to the jobsite.

  9. Curbside Delivery by Taylor Brothers: If requested, we can deliver your order to your local jobsite. We provide CURBSIDE DELIVERY. This means our driver will deliver the materials to the curb and lower them to the street for your workers to receive. Customer understands they must provide sufficient workers to safely receive and assist with offloading the products at the scheduled delivery time. Our delivery coordinator will advise you on the number of people needed to unload safely. Our delivery drivers are NOT permitted to spread the products at the jobsite or move them up or down stairs. The signer of this document must relay these delivery guidelines to the person responsible for receiving the order.

  10. Delivery Rules: Customer understands that Taylor Brothers will not be responsible for missing or damaged product if no one is present or willing to sign at the time of delivery.

  11. Product Inspection & Reporting: All products must be inspected upon delivery, and the customer understands they must report any damage or product concerns within 24 hours of receipt.

  12. Direct Deliveries:  Many of the brands we sell are delivered directly to the jobsite by the manufacturer, and there is no option to store the product at their warehouse. For these brands, you need to be prepared to receive the order within 24-48 hours of Taylor Brothers notifying you that it is ready for delivery. We do not provide storage for orders that are delivered directly from the manufacturer to the jobsite. Those brands include: Milgard, Fleetwood, Euroline, Jada, Quantum, La Cantina, & A.G. Millworks.

  13. Warranty Information: Product warranty documentation is sent with each delivery in an envelope marked “Warranties”. Please contact us if you have any warranty-related questions.

  14. Materials Supplier: This quotation/contract is for building materials only. Installation is not included and is the customer’s sole responsibility. Taylor Brothers is a material supplier only and is not a licensed contractor.

  15. Quote Expiration: Due to fluctuations in raw material costs, the pricing for this quotation/contract is only valid for 30 days from the last quote date, unless noted otherwise above.

  16. Abandoned Orders: Any order that is left in our warehouse for 90 days or longer, with no communication from the client, will be considered abandoned and will be sold to recover our costs. Deposits for abandoned orders will not be refunded.

  17. Warranty Service: Taylor Brothers is your warranty service provider for any defective or improperly made products. It is expected that the contractor or installer has verified that the installation was completed correctly before requesting support from your salesperson. Customer must verify the following before we provide any on-site support:

    1. Making sure the product is installed plumb, level, and square.
    2. Flashings have been appropriately installed, and sill drainage pans have been used where applicable.
    3. Wood products have been fully finished on all six sides, and overhang requirements have been met.
    4. Products have been cleaned of construction debris so they can be operated.
    5. Product installer has completed fine-tune adjustments for smooth operation and proper lock function.

  18. Fleetwood – Important Requirements: Customer understands their product warranty can be voided if the products are not installed per the manufacturer’s instructions by a licensed contractor with experience installing Fleetwood or similar brands. Sill drainage pans are required to maintain your Fleetwood product warranty.

  19. Wood Products – Important Requirements: Wood products MUST be finished in a timely fashion per the manufacturer’s recommended instructions to maintain any warranty. Sealant squeeze-out around the glass is common and the client’s responsibility to remove. The use of medium or dark paint or stain finishes will void the product warranty for exterior wood products. Exterior wood doors require a fully covered overhang to protect them from exposure to the sun as well as the weather. Exterior wood doors carry NO WARRANTY unless you follow the manufacturer’s overhang and finishing requirements.

  20. Overhang Requirements for Exterior Wood Doors: An adequate overhang is required to protect wood exterior doors and to maintain their warranty. Please inquire with your sales representative to understand the specific requirements for the brand you are purchasing. Failure to comply with these requirements will void your product warranty.
